The
process is on. The Parliament started this process by appointing the
Constitutional Assembly. When the government came up with the concept of
Constitutional Assembly, I wrote an article indicating the dangers of
it. Generally, Constitutional Assemblies derive power directly from the
people. In this exercise, the representatives of people assume powers to
work out a constitution deviating from the usual procedure laid down in
the existing system of government.
