Maithripala Sirisena has issued the Extraordinary Gazette Notification
dated 7 June 2017 allocating functions among the newly sworn-in
Ministers a week ago. In this notification too, the Central Bank and
state banks have not been returned to their legitimate home, the
Ministry of Finance. Hence, the Central Bank will continue to be under
the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the state banks under the Ministry
of State Enterprise Development.
