30 senior officers of Colombo Narcotics transferred at
once: Barrier obstructing Gota –KP enterprise removed
(Lanka-e-News-
13.Feb.2013, 5.30PM) Lanka e news is in receipt of a most shocking and alarming
report that SL Defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse who is aspiring to become
the Godfather for heroin peddlers and traffickers for South Asia has transferred
out 30 most efficient and experienced officers of the police narcotics division
at the same time, as they are the most potent force militating against his
‘heroin hero’ aspirations.
Mass transfer of such experienced responsible officers at once this way had never taken place in any country in history. It is learnt that Gota the culprit is now trying to suppress this news of the transfers from all the media Institutions . However , Lanka e news always first with the news and best with the views has the names of the officers who were transferred out of the Narcotics division. They are a follows :
The most senior of the officers transferred is ASP M A Srilal Perera who had served the police loyally for about 25 years. He was the OIC 15 years of the Narcotics division at Katunayake deemed as one ‘door’ for drug peddling. He was also an ASP at the Colombo division for 7 years .While Mahinda Balasooriya the former IGP was collecting money, lands and properties from kudu Mudalalis , officers like Srilal Perea retaining a clean record for 25 years is something admirable and pleasantly surprising.
He had been transferred to a most difficult unsecured area in Trincomalee.
2 chief Inspectors of police with ten years or more in service.
2 police Inspectors
A sub Inspector of police
30 others including police sergeants and officers.
Though no reason had been cited for these transfers which are without any valid reason , it has been justified on the ground that those are imperative.
However based on information reaching Lanka e news , Gota had earlier on transferred a Director of the State intelligence service (SIS) to the Narcotics division as a director , and garnered information on the officers who are working efficiently and with dedication. Thereafter he has recalled that Director to the SIS . After having gathered the information , Gota had instructed the IGP to give immediate transfers to these 30 efficient and loyal officers.
Although these transfers were with effect from January 2013 , no media had reported on this so far. . It is noteworthy that within just a year five Directors of the Narcotics division had been changed.
What is most irksome and perplexing about these transfers is : Even the chief inspectors who were so transferred out had been changed to places and positions where they have no responsible tasks – they are transferred to transport divisions without important tasks. Due to this action these officers’ lives are at stake as these officers had been performing their tasks in the thick of the drug mafia not caring for the life threats posed to them by these mafia gangs. Hence when these officers are taken away from these duties , the life threats to them however are not taken away , since these officers have a wealth of information regarding these heroin peddlers and traffickers collected over many years. It is the aim of the heroin mafia groups to wipe out evidence available against them. What Gota has done by these transfers is facilitated this mafia operation of the heroin peddlers who are his bosom pals, and hence slit the throats of these officers on behalf of the heroin mafia. This has been clearly illustrated via the transfer of loyal and conscientious officer Sri Lal Perera to the police division of the Trincomalee district of the eastern province where armed gangs are still in operation.
Why
and for what reason is Gota undermining the Narcotics
division?—————————————————-
No less a person than Baratha Lakshman , a former Presidential advisor who was murdered was the first to reveal at a public meeting that Gotabaya is the favorite and most loved pal of the heroin peddlers . Within 24 hours of this revelation he was killed in cold blood in the main highway in broad daylight. At that moment the presence of senior DIG Deshabandu at that venue in one of the vehicles is not accidental.
The chief suspect in the murder of Baratha Lakshman is Duminda Silva a most notorious heroin mafia leader whom Gotabaya is moving heaven and earth to give protection even today. This is no secret.
If it is the belief that the LTTE fought a war for 30 long years against the SL Govt. on the funds in dollars and pounds supplied by the Tamil Diaspora in Europe , it is a myth. They supplied monies out of earnings from heroin and illicit weapons businesses. These two businesses generate huge amount of ‘ black’ monies in the world. The LTTE used the coastal strip, sea and the areas under its control to carry on these businesses. Without marketing these drugs in their area , they made it their headquarters to be the No. one vendors in this business in the region. To say that they constructed 7 Airstrips for the purpose of alighting and taking off of their two glider planes is to conceal the truth.
They used their naval power not only to get down arms, but to be the No. one heroin traffickers and arms dealers in the region. Perhaps, International support to destroy the LTTE was owing to these reasons. Now LTTE is dead. Yet the heroin legacy continues on a large scale. KP who knew about the business and how to carry it on is still in our midst . KP became Gota’s favorite and pampered ally not for nothing. This KP –Gota have already laid the foundation in partnership to perpetuate this legacy. In Galle an armory has been started under Gota in the sea off Galle for the weapon enterprise.
Who knows what amount of heroin and weapons are coming into and leaving this place? Who is keeping count of these and where ? Only because a ship loaded with weapons was impounded in Abu Dhabi this came to light. They did not come into the Lankan land. Those were unloaded at the armory of Gota in the seas.
On land the place where small aircrafts were alighting had been developed adorned with more facilities not for tourism Industry development but as part of the heroin business development. Providing similar facilities to the Negombo ‘Lansas’ is also for the same reason. Those who now Gota say , Gota is already a multimillionaire owing to these businesses .
If the Colombo Narcotics division is strong , specialized and effective that will be strongly militating against Gota’s own illicit heroin enterprises .It is in order to remove these barriers that he transferred out 30 specialized, efficient and experienced officers from that division suddenly and at once.By Special Correspondent
