To the vast community of scientists, inventors, innovators, technologists and engineers, humanity stands beholden. A survey of the growth of electricity is interesting. The pace of growth is amazing. Why examine global magnitudes? The vicissitudes from the first plant to now, point to a certain phenomenon. Whatever the excellence of a technology, the economics of it as seen by the consumer determines choice as well as growth.
