Military ordered government offcials not ot attend a seminar organised by Mannar Civil Society

The
Mannar Citizens Committee (MCC) is one of the long standing civil
bodies in the district of Mannar in Northern Sri Lanka, consisting of
respectable and leading citizens of the Mannar district. On 1 June Army
HQ in Mannar ordered government officials not to attend a seminar
organised by the MMC on Land issues among other topics. This is a clear
indication of military rule prevailing in the Mannar, as well as in
whole Northern Province.
