US embassy officer met TNA parliament​arians

US embassy officer of political affairs Michel Irvin met Tamil National Alliance parliamentarian C.Yogeswaran and P.Ariyanendiran on Sunday evening.

During the time of discussion officer questioned parliamentarians on stance of eastern people, activities of Tamil National Alliance, present political situation, problems between Tamil- Muslim communities and also problems faced by TNA on 13th constitutional amendment. Responding to these questions TNA parliamentarians said they were not permitted to serve independently and also face continues threats from members of army intelligence unit. People maintain relationship with TNA members were warned by intelligence unit members. TNA mp’s also brief about land acquisition, constructing temples, resettling Sinhala people in Tamils area, Indian housing project and also specially on attacks on religious sites in the northern and eastern provinces.
