VIDEO: TENSE SITUATION OUTSIDE PM’S OFFICE

A tense situation is reported near the Prime Minister’s office as the ‘Sihala Ravaya’ members attempt to forcibly enter the premises, Ada Derana reporter confirms. Police have blocked the protestors from entering the Premier’s office which resulted in the tense situation.

A protest was held outside the office of the Prime Minister demanding that he step down from his post. The protest was held by a group of Buddhist monks led by the Sihala Ravaya and their supporters this afternoon (January 9). A tense situation occurred when the group of protesters clashed with the Police while attempting to enter the office building of the Prime Minister. (Pics by Eranga Perera)
