Gnanasara Thero and 5 others released on bail

Buddhist monks including BBS General Secretary Ven. Galaboda Aththe
Gnanasara Thero and 2 others have been released on bail after appearing
before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today over the incident at
the Jathika Bala Sena press conference.
They were ordered to appear before the court today in the case filed against the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) members for storming a Jathika Bala Sena press conference at the Nippon Hotel on April 09, harassing its chairman Ven. Watareka Vijitha Thero and insulting the Holy Quran.
The 4 BBS monks and the 3 laymen appeared before the court today and were ordered released on personal bail of Rs 100,000 each by Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.
