Man self-immolates in Colpetty
September 2, 2014 
A 60-year-old person has self-immolated in front of the Colpetty Police station, a short while ago.
The victim was identified as a resident of Kalalgoda area in
Thalawathugoda. The police Media Unit told Ada Derana that the person
has set himself on fire after pouring a bottle of petrol. According to
the police, the reason behind the self-immolation is still unknown.
The person has been ruched to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Colombo National Hospital for treatments.
