President Maithripala Sirisena showed a group of school children’s who visited to see the president’s House today the luxury rugby court situated in the basement of the President’s House.

President Maithripala told the group of children who came to attend an environment pilot programme to the President House to see the rugby court situated in the basement.
The president said that he don’t wish to use the President’s House as his official residence is due to the 15million of electricity bill per month. He said apart this there is another three million electricity bill for the underground rugby court.
This underground modern construction was built by the Rajapaksa’s. This has been constructed as a modern luxury fully air conditioned rugby court. A part of this is constructed externally and the whole building is constructed to be 24 hours fully air conditioned despite a power cut. The former president has not used this president’s Palace as his official residence but only used for his official diplomatic meetings.
According to the workers in the Presidet’s Hpuse this palace has been used by Namal Rajapaksa and his rugby pals. Therefore this underground palace is named as the Rugby Palace.
It is regrettable to note that the former president used billion of money of the country for the construction of luxury mansions of his sons.
