Attorney general grants permission to file action against Weerawansa

Reports reaching us confirm that the attorney general has granted permission to file action against the national freedom front leader parliament MP Wimal Weerawansa.

Therefore the CID would file a case against Wimal Weerawansa in the Colombo magistrate’s court soon.

 

Action would be filed against Weerawansa under the penal code and the immigration and emigration act for possessing a fake passport and trying to travel using the fake passport.
