Landslide warning issued for 7 districts

National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) issued a 24-hour
landslide early warning at 1 .00 p.m. today for the districts of
Ratnapura, Kegalle, Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya.

landslide early warning at 1 .00 p.m. today for the districts of
Ratnapura, Kegalle, Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya.
Issuing the ‘Level 3 Red alert’, the NBRO instructed people to evacuate
from unstable slopes to minimize disasters due to landslides and cut
slope failures said if the rain continues within next 24 hours.
