Trump downplays Covid as he returns to White House after hospital stay

President Trump is back in the White House, declaring he intends to return to the campaign trail – even though he remains contagious. He’s told his doctors today he hasn’t experienced any symptoms of Covid 19.

Earlier Mr Trump appeared without a mask and again compared the coronavirus pandemic to flu in social media messages, which Facebook and Twitter have now removed – or flagged as misleading.

All this, at a time when infections are on the rise in 34 states and territories across America.
