At the G7 summit in Cornwall, we saw a Prime Minister far less hopeful than he was just a few weeks ago – telling this programme the Government must be cautious as it decides whether to delay lifting all of England’s lockdown restrictions – due on 21st June.
The spread of the Delta variant, he said, was not just sending cases up but also the numbers of people in hospital, calling it a matter of “serious, serious concern”.
