Rajarata students take to the streets

Students of University of Rajarata engaged in an agitation at Pambahinna Junction today (2nd) afternoon demanding the reestablishment of the Students Union and Faculty Unions, the withdrawal of suspension of classes on 7 students that denies students’ right for education and to establish freedom and democracy within the University.

The Students Union accuses the administration of the University of acting arbitrarily and unleashing repression on students. Police riot squads were deployed where the students are carrying out the peaceful agitation.
