Sri Lankan army conducts human rights training for Kilinochchi residents

The Sri Lankan army on Thursday conducted a human rights training project for residents in Kilinochchi. 


The event, which was intended to mark World Human Rights Day on December 10, included a lecture entitled - "Our Right, Our Freedom, Always."



Col K.T.A.D.S Kolabathanthri and senior officers of the 571 Brigade attended.

The event comes despite the army being subject to a UN investigation for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. 

Marking World Human Rights Day, the Northern Provincial Council called on the UN To safeguard the Tamil people's rights.
