The Russian scientists from Novosibirsk discovered new effective ways to fight cancer and infectious diseases, including AIDS and tuberculosis.

The doctors modified the dendritic cells that are part of the immune system.

The director of The Scientific Research Institute of Fundamental and Clinical Immunology claims that the function of the immune system causes diseases such as AIDS, hepatitis B and tuberculosis.

The Russian scientists managed to create a vaccine using the dendritic cells. During the laboratory studies it was determined that the modified cells can stand against the diseases six times more actively than the regular cells.

The vaccine has passed the clinical studies – patients with breast and ovarian cancer had received the remedy after and during chemotherapy. These patients had no side effects and their cancer has not returned.

The new remedy is also effective against hepatitis B. The scientists think that the biggest advantage of the vaccine is its preciseness. It affects only the infected cells and it is not harmful for the healthy organs.
