Attacks On Muslim-Owned Property And Mosques Continues

June 30, 2014
The attacks on Muslim-owned property and mosques have not yet been
contained although it has been over a week since the deadly clashes that
erupted in Aluthgama and Beruwala; the most recent incident occurring in Rathmalana.

Upon lodging a complaint with the Police, a sniffer dog had been brought
to the premises in the hope of tracking the instigators. However, no
arrests had been made during the time of writing under suspicion of
instigating the attack.
Several politicians including government Minister A. H. M. Fowzie and
opposition MP Azath Salley had visited the mosque yesterday to inquire
the damages to the premises and had also spoken to the residents in the
area concerning the incident.
