been said that Aristotle, one of the greatest thinkers of all time, was
convinced that women were inferior to men. He based this erroneous
theory on the even more fallacious view that it was the man’s semen
which formed the foetus while the woman’s role in procreation was that
of a mere inanimate receptacle.
