As Rajapakse citadel crumbles families of Dallas and Sashindra flee the country –Maithri rally mammoth crowds paralyze regime

(Lanka-e-News- 06.Jan.2015, 11.30PM) With the brutal barbaric Rajapakse family’s rule beginning to totter and flicker as its end is disastrously and inexorably nearing, the wife and children of Dallas Alahaperuma a despicable main stooge of the Rajapakses have fled the country in the early hours of this morning. Meanwhile, Lexika the wife of Sashindra Rajapakse , a prominent member of the Rajapakse family too has fled the country , according to reports.

Already , the most corrupt officers of the Rajapakse regime have also made a bolt , while several families of the regime’s bigwigs too had been dispatched abroad.

The defeat of Rajapakse regime became very evident when the crowds attending the final election rallies of Maithripala and Mahinda were compared. For the rally at Kesbewa which is an SLFP stronghold , crowds had to be transported by CTB buses , whereas for the election rally at Maradana of common opposition candidate Maithripala even without any such bus transport services there was a record crowd exceeding 50,000 in number.

Even the final rallies of Maithripala at Galle and Kalutara mammoth crowds thronged the venue with at least 30,000 people at Galle and over 25000 at Kalutara. Having witnessed the huge crowds at these rallies , the Rajapakse regime was shocked and paralyzed with panic and fear . All its dastardly plans deploying the forces had therefore to be either cancelled or postponed .
