A statement is being recorded from former Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B.
Jayasundara by the officials of the Financial Crimes Investigation
Division (FCID) at the moment.
Dr. Jayasundara has been summoned by the FCID to be questioned over the
infamous hedging deal that incurred a loss of millions of rupees to the
government and to the CPC.
Meanwhile, officials grilled former Governor of the Central Bank Ajith
Nivard Cabraal on the same matter for more than five hours yesterday.
