Is Prabhath the true love of the Aviation Authority?

Employees of the Aviation Authority are saying that the true love of the institution is Prabhath Kularatne.

Whenever he needs, he makes degrees and diplomas to grant promotions, goes around Colombo city during office hours, makes rooms of the Authority available, meets the director general whenever he wants, and Authority’s management sings songs in television. Whenever he wants, he holds musical shows at the airport. Employees of the Authority ask as to whether there could be any truer love for Prabhath.

 

He gives advice to some that if they want something done, that they should not follow the due procedure, but meet the director general early in the morning and get it done. What sort of a barbaric law is that?

 

Those who are in the know say he practiced the art of being a stooge from Lalith Kotelawala. TV employees know how he pleaded the insertion of news about Kotelawala. But, when Kotelawala fell into trouble, he slowly abandoned him and got closer to Gen. Daluwatte, and to the Gem and Jewellery Authority. But, he could not do what he wanted, because its employees knew about the media. Later, Daluwatte became the chairman of the Aviation Authority. Prabhath was a God Sakra for the director general who knew next to nothing about media, the singing deputy director general and the princess in charge of human resources management. His wish was the wish of the Authority.

 

He was so powerful that once he deceived the DG into issuing letters to permit musical performances in the SriLankan hanger. The outcome was that a vehicle belonging to ITN crashed into an Airbus 340. The SriLankan held an investigation into the incident. Thanks to Prabhath, SriLankan employees too, now go to the Boeing 747 hangar after strict body searches. But, there is no punishment for any of these offences. Is it because Prabhath is the true love of the Authority?

 

On the strength of the top administration, Prabhath leaves on personal errands during office hours. He is regularly seen at media institutions. He is there not on official duty, but on personal errands. He can also be seen at Sirikotha. By seeing “the amount of office time he spends at media institutions, employees ask if going by the rate of his visits to media institutions, television channels should be full of news about the Authority.” But, he goes there on personal errands and video tapes are available with the employees to prove the point.

 

The administration got to know about Prabhath through websites and surmised about an impending danger. He was removed from a covered cubicle to an open area which can be seen by the DG. Is it because Prabhath has been protected like an eye.
