Bad appointments of Yahapalanya

Srilankan Airlines is going from bad to worse according to Srilankan airlines employees.

The biggest problem is the CEO Suren Rattwatte. A man who has no experience of managing or leading other than flying a plane . Instead of giving him that job, his brother Charitha Ratthwatte made sure he was made CEO of the airline and paid him 30,000 USD. Rs  4.5 Million Rupees.

That is nothing staffers say, his medical bills of family an entertainment runs into millions. The airline has no money and keep getting handouts from the ministry. 

Charitha Rattwatte who sent the government packing home last time, ensures his brother is looked after. Staffers say he addresses the Prime Minister as Ranil . His Favourite line is “ I told that Fu..ing Ranil to sack the board and put proper people”.

The staffers say when they go to the CEO Suren Ratwatte he tells them he is in a Fu..ing bad mood to come on another day.

Another bad appointment is the current Foreign minister Marapana, who had to unceremoniously resign due to his willingness to take money from people like Nissanka Senadthipathi. Instead of allowing him to fade away he was made foreign minister. One of the laziest ministers. He had told an Ambassador who told him to come to Europe to close a grant deal. “ It is bloody cold I can’t come” 

This is the same man who ruined the transport sector when he was transport minister and did not know what defense was, leading to the peace deal collapsing. This government is sadly running on borrowed time.
