Jaffna uni students demand justice for genocide
Students at the University of Jaffna launched an awareness rally yesterday, demanding justice for the genocide of Tamils.

The rally, which is to include a procession of vehicles carrying banners
and placards across the Northern province, is due to culminate in a
mass protest on March 16.
The rally comes as the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner
for Human Rights said in its report on Sri Lanka that there had been
"virtually no progress" on war crimes investigations as laid out in
resolution 30/1 which called for accountability and transitional justice
through a hybrid mechanism.
