Buddhist monk pledges to help Muslim girl pursue her ‘Varsity education to become a doctor
: The incumbent of Rajamaha Vihara in Muttur, has offered a monthly
allowance to a Muslim girl who has been selected for the University
education.
The beneficiary of the magnamity of the Devinuwara Indra Thero, is
Fathima Musadhika who had topped the results of the GCE Advanced Level
Examination 2019 and has been selected for the University to follow a
course in medicine.
The Thero had visited the family of the Musadhika with a package of
gifts and had offered his congratulations and best wishes for the girl
to pursue her studies in the university.
Musadhika belongs to a family of five, including her father and mother,
Father, a brick maker by profession earns a living which barely enough
for the daily upkeep of the family.
Her ambition in life is to become a doctor and serve the people irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
An incident where a Buddhist clergyman came to the house of a Muslim student who got the best result in the high school exam.
Education in the General level of Science, in the science department of
Trincomalee, the home of Meerasa Fathima Muzadikaya of Muttur Shabi
Nagar, the first of its kind in the medical field in the district of
Trincomalee.
Musadhika and her parents greeted Thera with a smile. Thero then visited
the residence where Musadhika had been educated and discussed and
offered gifts.
He also conveyed his congratulations and said he would support the monthly fund raising of Musadiaqi.
In the present situation, a Buddhist clergyman thanked the people of Muttur for appreciating an Islamic student.

I am glad that an Islamic student from the Trincomalee district took the
first place. He said three people live in this district.
He also said that he would help the student study.
