MailOnline US - news, sport, celebrity, science and health storiesStarting Friday, anyone who comes near President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence will be given a coronavirus test to limit 'inadvertent transmission' of the disease.
'Starting today anyone who is expected to be in close proximity to either of them will be administered a COVID-19 test to evaluate for pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic carriers status to limit inadvertent transmission,' said deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere in a statement.
The test will be the same one that President Trump, himself, took on Thursday when he was tested a second time for the virus. Both times the president tested negative.

But the new test, which is being touted by the administration, has results back in 15 minutes.
One perplexing aspect of the coronavirus is that infected people can spread it without even knowing they have the illness or before symptoms have become evident.
Pence also has been tested and was negative. The same for first lady Melania Trump.
The White House has already put some protective measures into play, including social distancing, but it's unclear how effective those are given the crowded work spaces in the West Wing and rest of the complex. Additionally, staff and members of the media have undergone temperature checks before entering the White House complex.
Both Trump and Pence have limited their travel outside of the White House and vice president's residence. However both men have had meetings with leaders, including a meeting on Friday with energy executives and members of Congress.
And it did not appear those people had been tested under the new policy.
When asked about the testing, President Trump said: 'I like it. Let's test these guys. Millions of jobs, listen, they gave us millions of jobs. Anybody wants to be tested, we will test them.'
Earlier this week, Trump touted the benefits of the new test, which is less invasion than the original version.
'I've done them both and the second one is much more pleasant,' Trump told reporters in the press briefing room on Thursday.

'He is healthy and without symptoms,' said White House physician Sean Conley in a note on the president's' heal.
Conley said taking the sample took under a minute.
'I did take a test It just came out,' Trump said from the podium. 'This is from the White House physician. You may have it. It just came out I took it this morning,' he said.
He held the doctor's note up for all to see.
'And I took it, it took me literally a minute to take it. It took me 14 or 15 minutes. I went to work, I didn't wait for it. But it said it took 14 minutes or something to come up with a conclusion,' Trump said.
The president suggested he took the second one to be a guinea pig, rather than there being any concern that he was exposed to a person with the coronavirus.
'I think I took it really out of curiosity to see how quickly it worked and how fast it worked,' he said.
Dr. Deborah Brix, one of the medical experts on the White House's coronavirus taskforce, explained where those particular tests would be utilized in the nation.
'We've prioritized the presidential 15 minute test to the Indian Health Serivces and pubilc health labs so they can support nursing home testing and other areas where we think surveillance is absolutely key,' she explained. 'So at this moment they're prioritized in that way.'
