The TNA’s Selvam Adaikalanathan paid tribute to martyred Tamil fighters during an address in parliament earlier this week.
The TNA's Shritharan also addressed parliament and spoke on the importance of Maaveerar Naal.
TNPF MPs Ponnambalam and Kajendran also paid tribute to Tamil martyrs during separate speeches they gave in Sri Lanka’s parliament. The party also paid tribute to the LTTE's Major Sothiya earlier in the week.
Earlier in the week, Kajendran was confronted by the Sri Lankan security forces as he and others helped clean a destroyed LTTE cemetery. Kajendran responded to the interrogations by stating that “it is this police force and this government that massacred these people”. “You expect us to get your permission to commemorate the people you killed,” he added.
