Their lives at school and home have been turned upside down. Children and teenagers across the country have been struggling with mental health issues as they try to adapt to uncertain and often frightening times.

A leading mental health hospital has told Channel 4 News that it has seen a big increase in the number of urgent referrals among under-18s, with eating disorders sky rocketing.
