Auditor General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, a
position created by its Constitution, has been of late at the receiving
end from political authorities. It is reported that his performance has
been subject to severe criticism by Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake,
followed by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, in Parliament recently
